The School of Business Administration (SBA) adheres to the educational philosophy of “educating people, moral education first, application focused and characteristics highlighted” , and emphasizes the combination of theory and practice of the discipline of new business, and is committed to cultivating application-oriented and innovative management talents with international vision and “Internet plus” thinking. The School now has four majors: Human Resource Management, Marketing, Logistics Management and E-commerce, among which Human Resource Management was designated as Provincial first-class major construction point in 2020. In 2019, the major was approved as the “Specialized Major of Human Resource Management” in the Quality Project of Guangdong Province. From 2015 to 2019, the major ended with excellence in the Quality Project of Guangdong Province “Comprehensive Reform of the Major of Human Resource Management”, and in 2019, the major was rated as “Characteristic Specialty of Colleges and Universities in Guangdong” by Guangdong Academy of Human Resources. The School has built such on-campus practice platforms as comprehensive training room for human resource management, talent assessment center, marketing training room, logistics training room, e-commerce training room, ERP comprehensive training room, and has also established industry-university integration practice teaching bases with such enterprises as JD, SF Express, Alibaba and Xingao Technology.
The School has established a well-structured, high-level and high-qualified teaching and research team of “Dual Teacher-Engineer” faculty, with excellent young and middle-aged teachers with doctoral and master’s degrees as the main force, and supported by practice-oriented teachers with overseas study experience and work experience. There are 58 teachers in the School now, including 8 professors, 14 associate associate professors, 8 Doctoral holders, 44 Masters holders, among whom the Dual Role Faculty account for 84%.
The School has 1, 878 students and has turned out more than 5, 000 undergraduates. It practices the concept of the“Three-Holistic People Development” and pays attention to improving the quality of talent cultivation. In recent years, the graduate rate of doing Masters programs has been steadily increased, and many students have been admitted to Sun Yat-sen University, Beijing Normal University and other famous universities. Academic competition results have been fruitful, and more than 400 prizes have been won in such large-scale competitions as the “Challenge Cup”, “Internet Plus”, Festival of Science, Technology and Culture of College Students, Innovation Creativity Entrepreneurship, and Makers Guangdong. It has also completed more than 100 social practices as well as innovation and entrepreneurship projects and a variety of community activities, winning the Team Champion Trophy in the University Sports Meet for 14 consecutive years and hosting 13 consecutive “Career Fair Salon”.
The School attaches great importance to employment, and the rate has remained over 97% for a decade. It has held many major-oriented job fairs for our students, and the employment rate of graduates in 2020 ranks among the best in the province. Our graduates are well received by employers and we are proud of a number of our outstanding alumni.
The School is full of vigor and vitality. It has been awarded the title Collective Pacesetter and Advanced Collective for three consecutive years, and is committed to improving the quality of talent cultivating and contributing to the society.
