(Huan Yisha, Yin Fan) On March 27, Zhao Kang, President of the Guangdong Association for Private Education, former Party Leadership Group Member and Inspector of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, along with Executive Vice President Zhang Yaorong and Secretary-General Zhu Zusheng, visited the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of our university to research and guide innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. They gained an in-depth understanding of the school’s practical achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education, industry-education integration, and talent cultivation, while providing constructive suggestions for future development. University President Hu Shejun, Executive Vice President Huang Nansong, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Yu Yonglong, and heads of relevant functional departments accompanied the delegation.
President Zhao Kang and his delegation conducted an on-site visit to the Maofeng Innovation Valley and student startup project incubation studios at the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. They paid special attention to studios such as Little Tea Studio, Photolithography Media Studio, Xiaoli Cultural Creativity Studio, Youchuang Agricultural Technology, Shengtu Intelligence Innovation Studio, and Yunfeng Printing Studio, and spoke highly of the students’ innovative practical achievements. During the visit, President Zhao Kang engaged in in-depth discussions with student teams preparing for provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. He expressed strong approval for student-developed projects such as the "Acoustic Intelligent Recognition System for Poultry Disease Early Warning" and encouraged the teams to focus on market demand and deepen the exploration of technology application scenarios.
President Hu Shejun fully recognized the diversified achievements of various teams in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Photolithography Media Studio introduced the accomplishments of its team members in entrepreneurship. At the Lechuang Goose and Xiaoli Cultural Creativity exhibition areas, students showcased creative design products centered around campus culture, including stationery, clothing and personal adornment, and peripheral merchandise. In addition, the Miracle Moment Studio treated the delegation to a stunning magic performance. President Hu Shejun encouraged students to continue exploring cross-disciplinary integration, enhance their practical skills in combining art and business, and suggested further expanding market channels. He emphasized that the university would continue to support the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, providing students with broader practical opportunities. Dean Yu Yonglong stated that the college would further integrate resources, promote industry-university-research integration, and facilitate the incubation of student projects.
This visit not only showcased the fruitful outcomes of the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship education but also provided faculty and students with an opportunity for face-to-face communication with leaders.
